Hello lovely, I'm Kristy ~ the heart behind Whim & Sage

I've always loved painting, drawing and creating, but for a long time I believed I needed to keep up with a world that seemed to celebrate constant productivity.The more I rushed, the more disconnected I felt.Somewhere along the way, colouring quietly found its way back into my life. I'd make a cuppa, put on good music or an audiobook, pick up my pencils, and before I knew it, an hour or two had passed. My mind felt quieter. My shoulders softened. For a little while, nothing needed to be solved or achieved.Those moments reminded me of something I'd forgotten.That peace isn't waiting at the end of a to-do list.
It isn't something we have to earn.
It's something we can choose to return to, again and again.Over time, I realised those little colouring sessions weren't just a hobby. They had become a sanctuary.That is why Whim & Sage exists.Every illustration begins as a hand-drawn sketch in my little Queensland studio. No AI. No hustle. No forcing. Just a wholehearted desire to create beautiful spaces where you can slow down, breathe, and reconnect with yourself.When life feels uncertain or the night feels long, I hope these pages hold space for you.
